Mrs. Barnes 2nd grade class used "Makey Makey" packets and technology to create and build guitars that really play! Such an amazing learning experience for these students! Click below to watch the You Tube video of her class and their techno guitars!

Our PTO out did themselves this year with an amazing week long appreciation for our faculty and staff! We had food, drinks, flowers, etc! We are all so grateful for the time and effort you all put into making last week such a great success. Just another example of how our families here are Jones are the best of the best!

Also this month our PTO had a cookies and milk night with Santa. Students and families were able to come eat cookies and have some milk with Santa. Students could also visit with Santa about what they wanted for Christmas and get their picture taken with him. Such a fabulous time for our students and their families before the rush of the holiday season!

This year we participated in our city Christmas Parade. Our PTO members got together and created an amazing float. Many hours of hard work were put into making the best float in the parade....well at least to me!

December was also the month for our can food drive! Jones students collected 6 large boxes full of non-perishable food items to donate to one of our local food banks!

Lots of things have been going on at Jones this month and we have all enjoyed getting ready for Winter Break and time with our families! See you all January 4!

Our students and staff raised money to give to United Way by voting on which teacher they wanted to see get a pie in the face! The top 3 teachers with the most money raised received a pie to the face. As an incentive to our faculty and staff if they raised $1,000 they would be able to pie our principal, Mrs. Camper, our assistant principal, Mrs. Carter, and our school counselor, Mrs. Short (me)! Needless to say our students and faculty did not disappoint! All three of us along with Coach Dotson, Mr. George, and Mrs. G were all pied! We raised over $1,200 all together to give to United Way! Amazing job Jones Explorers!
